Es präsentiert die Ergebnisse einer Studie, die am Institut für Interkulturelle und Internationale Studien (InIIS) der Universität Bremen durchgeführt wurde.…Die Studie verbindet konzeptionelle Klärungen mit empirischer Forschung. Sie zeigt, dass es sinnvoll ist, zwischen verschiedenen Identitätsformen wie etwa Ich-Identität oder Wir-Identität zu differenzieren. Die Untersuchung erfolgt aus drei Perspektiven: sie behandelt Selbstbezeichnungen und deren Bedeutung, sie untersucht kollektive Identität anhand einzelner Merkmale und sie geht von Bedeutungen und Bedeutungsmustern aus, durch die sehr unterschiedliche Varianten einer türkischen Identität bestimmt werden.
