Soft cover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. Rosey Rowswell became the Pittsburgh Pirates' first radio broadcasters in 1936. He continued in that position until his death in 1955. Considered by many to be the best of a long line of great Pirate broadcasters, Rosey became famous for his home run call- he would blow on his slide whistle and yell "Open the window Aunt Minnie here comes the ball." He wrote four books on the Pirates, baseball and humor for Fort Pitt Brewing company-this one is by far the most difficult one to find. This is the first time in my 40 years of collecting and selling baseball books that I have seen this title. Has a yellow cover with a great illustration of Aunt Minnie who was too late, as her window is broken. In good condition. I have hundreds of publications on sports humor, cartoons and comics as well as books by and about broadcasters in stock. Discounts are available when you purchase multiple items on the same order.
