Aggiungi al carrelloCondizione: Very Good. First Edition. November 1935 issue of The Crisis, the official publication of the NAACP. 27 pp, illustrated in black and white. Staple bound in publisher's printed wraps. Very Good with light chipping at spine, small spot of damp staining at lower corner of front wrap, irregular toning to rear cover; faint… vertical crease to contents. W.E.B. DuBois founded The Crisis in 1910. The stated purpose of the landmark publication was to "set forth those facts and arguments which show the danger of race prejudice, particularly as manifested today toward colored people." Roy Wilkins notably took over as editor in 1934 until 1949, transforming the periodical into a major platform for Civil Rights. This issue includes an article by Civil Rights activist Harold Preece on military involvement for African Americans, Emerson Lane, and future National Urban League director, Guichard B. Parris.
