Stamp of Centraal Bureau voor Genalogie on flyleaf, Jean Royer de Prade was a heraldic historian, who is best known for his Discours du tabac (1677) and was close friends with Savinien Cyrano de Bergerac. The Trophee d'armes has four editions (1650, 1655, 1659, 1672). Very good and attractive copy.
