He believed the original New Testament writers used mythological language and concepts that are no longer rel…evant or comprehensible to contemporary people. Bound in dark hunter green cloth, covers are plain with faded gilt lettering on the spine. This first edition bears Scribner's first edition "A" on the copyright page. In two parts: 1) Presuppositions and Motifs of New Testament Theology and 2) The Theology of Paul. Also includes a table of abbreviations and bibliographies. ix, 366 pp. CONDITION: VG with moderate shelfware. Lettering on the spine is faded. Unmarked except for previous owner's name written on the front flyleaf. Leaves have lightly toned yet with minimal foxing, predominantly within the endpapers. A nice, solid copy.
