Very Good. Soft Cover. Inscription by Rusinek (in Polish) on half title page, dated 1961. Text in Polish. Rusinek (1904-200) was a writer, cultural activist, playwright, poet, and editor of literary newspapers and magazines. From 1933 onwards he served as director of the office of Polish Academy of Literature. During WWII he took part in the Warsaw Uprising. After the uprising was a prisoner of the concentration camps, Mauthausen, Ebensee and Melk. After the war, he worked in the Union of Polish Writers (1947-1972 as the Secretary-General) and the Association of Authors. From 1980 onwards he served as president of the Center of Polish Association of European Culture. Covers show light general wear, with creasing and rubbing to edges. Mild toning to pages; otherwise interior is clean, crisp, tight, unmarked. 183 pp. Approx. 5.5" x 8.25". A very nice copy. Very Scarce. Carefully shipped in secure parcel.
