Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. Very scarce complete set of the acclaimed Black Women Oral History Project, which consists of interviews with 72 African American women from 1976 to 1981, conducted under the auspices of the Schlesinger Library of Radcliffe College. This is the original edition in a set of 10 from 1981, alongside two additional items, being the Guide to the Transcripts of the Black Women Oral History Project and the even less common newspaper supplement elaborating the project in its entirety. Thus 12 items here, rarely seen in the first physical iterations. All volumes are in excellent condition. Binding are solid, sturdy, tight, square. No markings to any of the pages at all, which are bright and clean, with some very minor age toning, but still rather fresh. On occasion, the bottom edges of the outer page blocks are lightly dust soiled and shelf worn, but not egregiously and certainly not encroaching the interior whatsoever. Uniform red cloth covered boards are clean and firm with bright gilt lettering, with occasional bumps to corners (about 3-4 of the volumes), parts of the edges (1-2 of them) and in the case of volume 1, a very slight concave feel to the spine, none of which effects the integrity at all. Print on Demand.
