Hardcover. 1947 First edition (NAP) Hardcover, very good+ in dustjacket. SIGNED by Ethel Smither on t. P. DJ water stained on most of front panel and approx 20% of rear (maiinly visible from reverse) , approx 2 inch tear lower edge, a few lesser nicks and chips; price present. Book has corners bumped with a bit of cardboard exposed there, rubbed at head and foot of spine, faded along edges of boards. Internally, prev owner's Christmas, 1947 inscptn, rear endpapers tanned from some laid-in newspaper clippings, old bookstore label, but o/w tight, clean, unmarked, still crisp and probably only carefully read once, if at all.
