Nailsea Court, near Bristol is a Grade I listed English manor house from the 15th century. With Foreword by Lt.-Commander Charles E. Evans. Thought to be first edition and printing. In good pale khaki coloured cloth boards with black titles to front and spine with fleur de lys motif. The boards are flat, quite firm; slightly marked and shelf-cocked. With unmarked silver coloured end papers with horizontal stripes. The text block has a colour frontispiece of Nailsea Court, a black and white fold-out map and black and white drawings and photos. The artists are Guy Kortright, Harold Cone, F. G. Lewin and F. J. Allen and F. Bromhead. The pages are secure and even; the prelims, end pages, last few text pages and cut edges are foxed. Name of previous owner in purple ink on a prelim; tiny white bookseller's sticker from A. J. Coombes, Betchworth on facing prelim. Good condition. Without jacket. Rare edition.
