Sally Eilers stars as a nurse, whose brother, shortly after being released from prison, is shot and killed in a shootout between a criminal gang and the police. Larry J. Blake, a police officer, is accused of shooting him but knows he didn't do it, and sets out to prove it, both to clear his name and because of his feelings for Eilers.
