Present study has been done to confirm these therapeutic effects of Eclipta and Boerhaavia. These effects have also been compared with those of standard allopathic drugs. Study has been done on wistar rats. Descriptions of physiology of lipid transport, pathogenesis of CAD, mechanisms of action of allopathic drugs, general properties and putative mechanisms of action of herbal drugs, lipid profile measurement using semi-automatic analyzer and non-invasive blood pressure (NIBP) measurement using NIBP-machine have also been added which should be useful for the students and readers from the corresponding discipline.
