Here he defends capitalism, writing that "nearly four fifths of the evils popularly ascribed to Capitalism.are in reality due to the defective monetary system; to out-of-date ideas on the subject of income in relation to employment; and to inability to see that the deserving unemployed can, and should, be supported adequately, with money not derived from taxation.".

Nigel Nicholson, son of Vita and Harold, added some missing details to this publication which first was published in 1926. There are two maps at the beginning of the book which indicate the trip that was taken and reported in this 155 page 7 by 10 1/2 inch volume. In addition to the maps the interior of the book there are also photo reproductions. The end papers are a reproduction of a page of Vita's photography album "Persia." The boards are covered in a brown cloth and have gilt lettering on the spine. The dust jacket has one small tear at the bottom edge near the front fold to the flap, and also shows some wear to the edges and bumps at the spine ends and corners. The dust wrapper is in Very Good+ to Near Fine Minus condition. the dust wrapper is currently protected by a clear removable cover. This is a stated Second Edition British publication.
