Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. This item is printed on demand - it takes 3-4 days longer - Neuware -Le changement climatique constitue un important challenge à relever par les politiques publiques.

Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Forests regulate the global climate, support biodiversity, and sustain ecosystem services, but remain threatened by the impacts of climate change. Changing temperatures, altered precipitation patterns, and extreme events interact with ecological processes to influence forest health and stability. By examining the dynamics of forest ecosystems, the disturbances they face, like wildfires, pests, droughts, and storms, and their capacity for resilience and recovery, researchers can identify areas most at risk and inform adaptive management strategies. This field integrates ecological data, climate projections, and risk assessment frameworks to guide policies and practices that enhance forest resilience in a changing environment. Forest Vulnerability and Climate Risk Assessment: Dynamics, Disturbances, and Resilience explores how climate change influences forest ecosystems by affecting their structure, function, and susceptibility. It examines the dynamics of forest vulnerability and resilience to assess climate-related risks and to inform strategies for sustainable forest management and ecosystem adaptation. This book covers topics such as forest ecosystems, soil erosion modeling, and watershed management, and is a useful resource for engineers, academicians, researchers, and environmental scientists. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.…

Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Sustainable forest management balances ecological integrity, economic viability, and social responsibility in the use and conservation of forest resources. Forest ecosystems are shaped by natural processes, human activities, and climate change, making their management complex. Challenges include deforestation, biodiversity loss, land-use conflicts, and the impacts of global warming on forest health and productivity. New perspectives, like community-based management, adaptive strategies, and the use of innovative technologies, enhance forest resilience and ensure forests provide essential environmental, economic, and social benefits for future generations. Dynamics, Challenges, and Perspectives for Sustainable Forest Management examines forest ecosystems, documenting their current state, typology, biodiversity, and ecosystem services through a multidisciplinary lens. It analyzes the anthropogenic and climatic pressures, presenting the evolving institutional, legal, and social frameworks of forest management while exploring cutting-edge innovations in remote sensing, biotechnology, and AI applied to forestry. This book covers topics such as climate change, fire management, and biology, and is a useful resource for biologists, conservationists, academicians, researchers, and environmental scientists.
