Followed by the Treasurer's Report of Sam'l Jennison, with new construction funds; "The Seventeenth Report of the Superintendent to the Trustees of the State Lunatic Hospital" by George Chandler with 15 tables discussed in detail. Section discussions: Visitors, Labor (with profits from produce), Register of the Weather (introduced 1839, 7th Annual Report), Managers of the Hospital with dates service began, duties and compensation. Chandler was assistant physician with Woodward from 1833-42, first Superintendent of the New Hampshire Asylum for the Insane (Concord) 1842-45 and returned to Worcester to serve as Superintendent until 1856. Jennison was also Treasurer to the American Antiquarian Society.
