Stothard) and 6 engraved plates, wood-engraved end-piece vignettes. Contemporary calf, gilt spine with label; slight wear to edges. Samuel Rogers (1763-1855) first published 'Pleasures of Memory' in 1792, and it achieved popularity. Samuel Rogers turned down the post of Poet Laureate (1850) following the death of Wordsworth. The present American edition contains 'some few alterations and additions' (pp95-112).
