The Story of New Zealand servicemen who won the greatest honour for valour on the battlefield. 48 pages; picture portraits of VC winners plus some striking action photograps. NOTE comes with letter from Jim Sanders to recipient in Northern Ireland. SIGNED by Jim Sanders and dated January 14, 1986, in original postally used envelope with New Zealand stamp (HMNZS Canterbury 1971) and Browns Bay postmark. The interesting letter refers to some of the old Coastal Command stations on which he served, and at the end he writes 'for there I spent some of the most fulfilling days of my air force career. I gained my captaincy on Halifax bombers at Aldergrove on 1674 Heavy Conversion Unit in August 1944.' The book itself is also SIGNED by James Sanders. Malcolm Evans (illustratore).
