Al analizar la cinemática de una…colisión de retrodispersión del fotón durante el efecto Compton se derivaron dos modelos, uno utilizando criterios clásicos y el otro con criterios relativistas; el primero predice que el cuadrado del momentúm del electrón mantiene una relación lineal con la energía cinética del electrón dispersado, mientras que el segundo predice que esta relación es cuadrática. Con el MCNP4C se calcularon los espectros de altura de pulsos para rayos gamma característicos del 137Cs, 60Co y el 22Na, así como para fuentes monoenergéticas con energías desde 0.5 hasta 3 MeV. De los espectros, se obtuvo la energía cinética del electrón dispersado determinando la energía correspondiente al borde Compton. Estos resultados se compararon con las predicciones de ambos modelos y se encontró que en todos ellos se apegan al modelo relativista. Al analizar la cinemática de una colis…ión de retrodispersión del fotón durante el efecto Compton se derivaron dos modelos, uno utilizando criterios clásicos y el otro con criterios relativistas; el primero predice que el cuadrado del momentúm del electrón mantiene una relación lineal con la energía cinética del electrón dispersado, mientras que el segundo predice que esta relación es cuadrática. Con el MCNP4C se calcularon los espectros de altura de pulsos para rayos gamma característicos del 137Cs, 60Co y el 22Na, así como para fuentes monoenergéticas con energías desde 0.5 hasta 3 MeV. De los espectros, se obtuvo la energía cinética del electrón dispersado determinando la energía correspondiente al borde Compton. Estos resultados se compararon con las predicciones de ambos modelos y se encontró que en todos ellos se apegan al modelo relativista. Los resultados obtenidos con el MCNP4C se contrastaron con valores experimentales de la literatura y se encontró que son coincidentes.
