The investigation involved chemical, physical and mechanical properties and the casting capabilities. The results revealed that the samples contained SiO2 have the highest percentages of 85.80-86.10% of Dadin-kowa river sand and 94.60-93.90% of Bayo river sand. Physical properties of the samples; the grain fineness number, average grain size and grain shape were studied.
