Inside are complete piano/vocal arrangements with ukulele chord diagrams, period publisher advertisements, and original promotional material for Robbins Music publications. Harry Warren's memorable score, paired with lyrics by Jack Brooks and Saul Chaplin, reflects the golden age of Hollywood movie musicals and remains highly collectible among enthusiasts of MGM, Judy Garland, Gene Kelly, and vintage American sheet music. This copy possesses an unusual production-related printing anomaly that is visible throughout the publication. Rather than affecting only the cover, the apparent offset is present across the interior music pages as well, suggesting the paper was consistently slightly misaligned during printing rather than suffering from later handling damage or image transfer. Original 1950 first edition published for the theatrical release of MGM's Summer Stock. Copyright remains the original 1950 issue with no evidence of a later reprint. Harry Warren (1893-1981) ranks among the most successful American popular composers of the twentieth century. Over a career spanning six decades, he composed more than 800 published songs, earned three Academy Awards for Best Original Song, and created enduring standards including Chattanooga Choo Choo, That's Amore, Jeepers Creepers, At Last, 42nd Street, and I Only Have Eyes for You. His music became synonymous with Hollywood's golden age and continues to be widely performed and recorded. Lyricists Jack Brooks (1912-1971) and Saul Chaplin (1912-1997) were accomplished Hollywood collaborators. Chaplin later became one of MGM's most influential musical directors and producers, winning Academy Awards for his work behind the scenes on some of the studio's most celebrated musicals.
