Very minor wear to the extremities, two tiny minor stains on the front cover, cloth clean and bright, else near fine to fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket slightly soiled with a couple of chips missing around the edges. Louise E. Schaff (1915-2006) was an elementary school teacher in Nevada. This is her first and only book for young people. Patricia Ayearst was a commercial artist in New York.
