Condizione: Neu. nach der Bestellung gedruckt Neuware - Printed after ordering - Der deutsch-schwedische Chemiker Carl Wilhelm Scheele (1742-1786) gilt als Entdecker von zahlreichen chemischen Verbindungen und Elementen, wie zum Beispiel Sauerstoff, Stickstoff, Chlor und Mangan sowie Glycerin, Chlor- und Schwefelwas…serstoff und Milchsäure. Noch heute wird Scheele in der Pharmazie- und Chemiegeschichtsschreibung als einer der wichtigsten Vertreter und als einer der glänzendsten Experimentatoren angesehen. Zeit seines Lebens war Scheele praktizierender Apotheker und führte in seiner Freizeit in seinen Tagebucheintragen schätzungsweise zwischen 15.000 und 20.000 chemische Experimente durch. Die Liebe zur Forschung kostete ihn schließlich das Leben. Er starb aufgrund der geschmacklichen Erforschung von chemischen Verbindungen, u.a. Blausäure und Quecksilber. Lediglich in Chemische Abhandlungen von der Luft und dem Feuer publizierte Scheele seine Ergebnisse. Es blieb sein einziges Buch.
