Paper Covered Boards. Condizione: Good +. No Jacket. First American Edition. This SCARCE 100 pp. book is an early medical treatise on the title subject. It was translated from the French by Sidney Doane. Prior owner's name atop the title page. The fold-out map at the front has a 4-1/2" tear. The first pages are soiled, but the text pages are clean, tight and unmarked -- and very handleable. Externally, the book shows much wear, with rounded corners, and general soiling to the light colored paper-covered boards. It has a brown cloth spine that is split on the front spine edge on it's upper half. Remains of a black tape identification sticker are evident on the spine and adjacent front and rear boards, and that, along with an inked number on the title page, would indicate a previous library placement. However, there are no other markings to indicate more than a previous owner's attempt to catalog. Distinctly worn, the book is priced accordingly, but is fully intact and still very desirable. Photos upon request.
