At the same time, in recent years various research approaches have emerged which both implicitly and explicitly draw back on Marxist concepts. Taking this into account, the present volume examines the traditions and trajectories of Marxist theory in art studies. The authors analyse this relationship from both historic and historical perspectives by focussing on its potential for contemporary political art studies. 206 pp. Deutsch.
