Seibert travelled throughout the Soviet Union from 1926 to 1929 as press representative of the Hamburger Fremdenblatt, the Munchner and the Leipziger Neueste Nachrichten. His book Red Russia criticised Soviet Russia. In the lat…e 1930s Seibert was London correspondent of the Völkischer Beobachter and local head of the German Press Association in London.[He was active as an anti-Semitic propagandist,[ characterising Bolshevism and 'Rooseveltism' as two aspects of 'international Jewry'. Seibert (1896-?) war von 1925-29 als Korrespondent des Hamburger Fremdenblatts und anderer deutscher Tageszeitungen in der Sowjetunion und beschreibt hier kritisch aber kenntnisreich seine Eindrücke vom politischen, wirtschaftlichen und g…esellschaftlichen Leben im ersten sozialistischen Staat. Er hält aber auch den kapitalistischen Staaten der westlichen Welt einen kritischen Spiegel vor und weist ebenso auf deren Mißstände hin. Er wollte nach eigener Aussage mit vorliegendem Buch das "offizielle Russlandbild als zu einseitig und oberflächlich" disqualifizieren. Später war er allerdings außenpolitischer Kommentator das NS-Blatts "Völkischer Beobachter" und bei Abschluss des Hitler-Stalin-Paktes, als sich teilweise nochmals kurz verhaltene nationalbolschewistische Töne in die Berichterstattung mischten, wohl dessen einzig verbliebener wirklicher Russland-Experte.
