Aggiungi al carrelloSoft cover. Condizione: Near Fine. Near fine condition color illustrated softcover wraps. Includes Preface; Alphabetical Index; List of Fun Songs; List of Folk Songs and List of Frolic Songs (and Dances). "With easy-to-play piano accompaniment and chord symbols for autoharp. For musical activities at summer camps - playgrounds -… elementary classrooms and the home. A choice collection of Unison, Divided-group, Easy two-part songs, Rounds, Dances." - from the title page. "Fun, Folk and Fronlic consist of unision, divided-group and easy two part songs, rounds and dances for recreation. The Fun section includes songs of a nonsense nature. The Folk section brings together fold songs of America and other lands. The Frolic section contains action songs and dances. This collection is designed for those who work with musical activities at summer and day camps, on playgrounds and in the classrooms of elementary and junior high schools. The compilers wish to call your attention to certain aspects of this book. The piano accompaniments are structured in a simple manner for the benefit of those with limited piano facility. It is assumed that the proficient pianist will play a more complete accompaniment than is suggested. The chord symbols found under the scores may serve as a harmonic basis for the pianist as well as for chording on the twelve-bar authharp. Because of the current popularity of the authoharp and its practicable use in recreation situations, the songs have been transposed into keys found on this instrument. Dance directions have been made as explicit as possible both through the use of diagrams and measure by measure descriptions. It is suggested that the dancers first hear the music (sing the song), walk through the movements without the music and then put the dance together with the music. This listen-walk-try method usually eliminates much confusion commonly experienced by beginning folk-dance groups. The compilers present this book to you with sincere wishes for many happy and successful hours of musical activity." - Jeannette Sexton and Stephen Clark, from the Preface.
