One plate and one page loose in volume II. There's some gentle edge wear to leaves in places and some faint and occasional spotting. A very heavy set of books.

No date found. Leather cover boards, marbled end papers, gilded page edges. The pages are slightly darkened with age and have occasional smudges and light age spots. Two pages of volume one are completly loose but present, otherwise the pages are tight. Volume three contains some pressed leaves. Bindings are good. Embossed leather covers are worn and scuffed around the edges. Gold print on spines is bright. The books are beautifully illustrated throughout. This set of books will look handsome on any bookshelf.

Minor corner wear but nothing too bad for age. Scattered occassional foxing.
