Aggiungi al carrelloSeventh edition. Comprising: 16 pages of titles, Dedication, Preface & Contents, 54-page introduction, then 234 pages, complete with 14 illustrated plates. The book is quite firmly bound in contemporary full-calf, with raised bands and a gilt-lettered red title label to the spine, the leather is marked, rubbed and chipped, with splits to the hinges towards the spine ends, to the rear board it looks as though there are some faded and worn initials. The text block is quite marked and grubby, with some foxing and age toning, it is slightly cracked at points, some pages have small chips or tears to the edges and a few corners are dog-eared. To the title page are two ink ownership inscriptions, also faintly written calculations to the front pastedown. The book opens directly at the title page, the front endpaper, if there was one, has been lost. An important medical treatise, the first to focus on surgical technique.
