Hardcover. Condizione: Fine. Oblong quarto. Unpaginated, accordionfold. An homage to India and the monsoon season, Shettar's book recreates the comings and goings of heavy rains and vegetation in a range of media, including solarplate and spit-bite etchings, silkscreens, woodcuts, and pigment prints. Occasional cut-out circles suggest the constellations peeking through the rush of an overcast sky. Realizing the project was a collaborative venture, recruiting many contributors from the Northeast: the seven woodcuts were editioned by The Grenfell Press (NYC), the pigment print at Singer Editions (Boston), the laser-cutting of the paper by Tietz-Bacon (Brooklyn), the binding and printing by Mark Tomlinson (Easthampton, MA). Bound in (very) heavy metal covers reminiscent of a clear night sky. Fine. Housed in solander box with tissue guards throughout. One of 150 copies. Signed by the artist.
