The Shàolín Sì Wǔshù Bǎikē Quánshū / Shaolin Temple Wushu Encyclopedia), completed by Shaolin monk Shì Déqián Shi Deqian in 1992, is a four-volume set in Chinese (Mandarin) with over 4,000 pages, roughly 3.8 million characters, and more than 1,000 diagrams/drawings of traditional Shaolin forms and weapons. It is regarded by many northern Shaolin monks as a definitive reference and has never been translated into English (translation costs alone have been estimated at hundreds of thousands of RMB). Available sources describe the 1992 four-volume Shàolín Sì Wǔshù Bǎikē Quánshū by Shì Déqián as a limited edition whose "few editions that have been printed are true collector's items." In short, it was a small, specialized printing, and the surviving stock is now very limited. Never actually read. Purchased brand new around 2006, they are no longer available. Owner does not read Mandarin. Most of the wear or imperfections were existing when first received, probably because of the nature of the author self publishing in China. Spines are very good, dust covers near perfect with slight bending or scuffed edges, hardcovers the dust covers transferred marks onto them and are gold glit markings slight wear on bottom edge corners slight bending, all pages in tact none are falling out, edge of pages slight foxing or marks. see images for wear and marks.
