Boards are toned and a little spotted, gently rubbed and rounded at corners and spine ends, a little chipped over spine. Gift inscription inked on front free endpaper, else internally neat and clean. A selection of Canon Sinker's letters which originally appeared in the parish magazine of St Mary Magdalene, Bermondsey (the old Parish Church) between 1923 and 1936. Titles include The Flower-face of Covent Garden Quartus a Brother, Friends and Fairyland, Keeping Lent, the Cat-fish, Mother Goes to Bognor, Mother at Richmond, Good Temper Week, etc.

Condizione: Good. 1st Edition. 3 books in this series of whimsical essays and talks by this Can of the C of E, with a forward by the Bishop of York in the final title, the titles don't reflect the contents. Paper boards with paste-down illustrations of daffodils. they are all first editions printed in 1943, 1944 and 1949, this last title says 4th series. The 1st book has quite ingrained dust on the boards, and a couple of pages that have closed tears at the edges, there is a photograph added win this on the endpaper which might be the author? the "More daffodils is also a little dusty and slight fading at spine, the last title is less so, all are clean inside, the first two have an inscription "To Pussy with Bunny's best love, 28 August 1943 and also 21st Sept 1944". 3 titles here.
