Professor Dr. Vladimir Sadek (September 22, 1932, Prague, May 31, 2008) was a Czech Judaist and hebraist, an expert in Jewish mysticism. He studied with Dr. Otto Munelese, who also wrote about him. He worked at the Prague State Jewish Museum. From the 1990s he taught at the Faculty of Philosophy. He devoted himself primarily to Kabbalah and mystique within Judaism, as well as Hasidism, Jewish philosophy and Jewish culture in Bohemia. Dr. Jirina Sedinová, CSc., (born April 21, 1946) is a Hebraist and a leading Czech translator of modern Israeli literature, a historian of Jewish culture and a university teacher.
