Smollet, M.D. with an account of the author's life: Alain Rene Le Sage, brown hard back cover with empressed diagonal lines and various symbols in each corner and in the center of the cover, back cover same, spine also brown and similar with the title and publisher in gold lettering, title page and fronts piece are attached to the spine but not attached to the body of the book, foxing throughout, signatures are sewn, light shelf wear on edges and corners, 7 separate book sections with from 2 to 16 chapters in each book, most have 9 or more chapters,

Fully bound in brown leather with gold decoration on spine. Volume II of three volumes. Contains a black and white illustrated frontispiece. Owners nameplate on inside front cover. Front and back boards have some stains. Binding intact. A piece missing from spine. Pages are heavy laid paper, lightly tanned with occasional foxing. Several pages loose. Text very clear and readable. Solid example of printing and materials from an early era. Very good for its age.

Hardcover. Condizione: Good. this copy has a still tight binding with clean but toned pages.the tissue guard protecting the frontispiece has a tear.the interior text is clean of marks the cover has rubs and edge wear.

Four volumes. Bound in full tree calt, with red gilt morocco spine labels. Light rubbing towards the tails of the spines and occasional scratches, the volume numbers worn, the edge and corners similarly a touch rubbed. Some wear to the joints on occasion. One or two spots, clean of ownership inscriptions, the bindings generally firm. Volume I illustrated with three engraved plates, volume II with one, III with two, and IV with one. A charming late 18th century English set.
