Taschenbuch. Condizione: Neu. Neuware - An Angry God is a fictional account of a young man who enters the Army during World War II and leaves it forever changed. Dan Fleming, the book's main character, could be any of the millions of men and women who've witnessed the horrors of war, and who have had to deal with these horrors when the war was done and over.over for everyone but themselves. Dan Fleming's war can be any war, and this novel raises questions as pertinent today for wars in the Middle East and elsewhere as have always been relevant for all of yesterday's wars. An Angry God is an action-packed novel. It is a story of survival in which Dan Fleming and his circle of acquaintances wrestle with the battles of war, and with their own internal battles, while struggling to understand and answer such questions as: \*Why does a kind and loving God allow terrible things to happen to people \*How can war and belief in God co-exist \*Do the ends justify the means when inherently bad actions are undertaken for good purposes \*Are concepts of right and wrong always constant, or are they relative, depending upon the situation \*Is there a divine plan for our lives, or are they determined by the forces of fate, randomness, and free will An Angry God tackles such timely issues as post- traumatic stress disorder, the intersection of religion and war, and the presence of God in our lives. These issues are presented in a way that may leave you questioning and rethinking some long held beliefs. Whether or not you are a veteran, the book's powerful scenes are bound to resonate with you and impact your emotions. Snyder, Mr. Sean (illustratore).…
