Green cloth binding with printed cream paper sections mounted on the covers and spine. Possibly a rebinding of a paper bound book. Title in black and illustration in green on the cover, with black titling on the spine. Illustrated with B&W photos and line drawings and color maps. Book is in Very Good condition with average to heavy wear and soiling on the covers and spine, heavier wear on the corners, hinges split front and back but the cords are intact and holding. Red ink previous owner's name on the front pastedown and again on the title page, with a stamped ink name in both places. A few pages have light stains or foxing, otherwise pages are clean and unmarked, and the binding is sound. Color map in pocket at back has folds (as issued) but no tears, and is clean and unmarked.
