Most albums oblong in-8°, 16 x 23,5 cm, have between 10 & 30 cover specimens and also a pricelist of Belgian representative Maurice Sacré. Date of publication must vary between 1900 and 1914. Oblong folio (17.0 x 25.5 cm). 38 paper samples, each named and illustrated with an appropriate vignette, of which several printed in two or more colours. Colour-printed soft cover, with large Art Nouveau vignette. = A wonderful paper-sample book with highly unusual LARGE and detailed illustrations on each paper sample, each with a connotation to the paper name. For instance: pirates and ships at sea for a paper called "Sea Wave", or two gladiators fighting, for a paper called "Centurion". The two red paper samples bleeding, leaving small stains to the adjacent leaves. Small damp-stain to the front cover; some staining to the rear cover; spine ends abraded; top outer corner slightly bumped. Otherwise, a very good copy. Very rare, we found no other copy, anywhere.…
