En revisitant la statuaire antique, en prenant pour matière les archétypes de la sculpture classique, il a inventé un langage propre dans une grande partie de « cache-cache » avec nos références, notre mémoire collective. Sa célèbre Tête Carrée, agrandie aux proportions d un bâtiment, est devenue l un des emblèmes de Nice.« C est mon éminence grise », dit de lui son ami Ben. Sosno a tout fait. Reporter de guerre, viticulteur, critique d art et pour finir, peintre et sculpteur. Amateur de bonne chère, il a même publié un livre de recettes, expérimenté et rédigé chez lui, sur les restanques de Bellet, où il soigne aujourd hui ses oliviers. Son repaire est une maison d artiste où surgit, révélé entre deux murs, le visage de Vénus, comme un clin d oeil à son parcours.Dehors, de grandes silhouettes d acier rouillé lui donnent la réplique. Erigées sur un coteau, elles voisinent avec un panneau jaune, mystérieusement percé d un point d exclamation. Plus qu une simple monographie, plein ciel explore en outre la généalogie d une sélection de réalisations de l artiste, à l aide de schémas, esquisses, photos de construction et d installation. Cette démarche artistique masque une partie de l'œuvre pour stimuler la curiosité du spectateur. Un concours photo a primé des artistes basés sur ces œuvres. L'Art de l'Oblitération : À l'instar des compressions de César ou des accumulations d'Arman, Sosno utilise l'oblitération pour revisiter la sculpture. Exposition à Ciel Ouvert : Cette initiative, Avis de Grand Beau, propose de découvrir les œuvres de Sosno dans l'espace public. Concours Photo : Un concours associé a permis de récompenser des photographes mettant en scène les œuvres de Sosno, notamment lors d'un événement à la maison des associations. Œuvre Phare : La « Tête Carrée » est l'exemple le plus célèbre de cette approche de l'artiste.
