Signed and Inscribed by the author, with a Signed typed poem and holograph letter in original mailing envelope stapled to the rear board. (Only the envelope is attached, the poem and letter are able to be removed easily.) Free is best known for his much-anthologized poem "The Human Touch", included here although first published in 1925. He graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of the Johns Hopkins University in 1880 and practiced medicine for over fifty years as well as publishing widely in this field.
