This book covers and reviews the achievements of Frenchmen in art, philosophy, medicine, historiography, sculpture, archaeology, physics, mathematics, ant…hropology, theatre, linguistics and much much more. Contributions have been made by both English and Australian scholars. Book is in good condition for its' age with general age related wear and tear and page discolouration. Dj isn't price clipped and shows shelf wear and a number of small tears mainly around top and base of spine, edges are a little chatty, dj has pen inscription from previous owner on inside front flap, boards are slightly discoloured and show some minor disintegration, cover has one internal tear. Otherwise no other pre-loved markings. This is a good solid copy.
