No noticeable wear to the extremities, cloth clean and bright, gilt bright, small dampstain that shows about one inch near the spine on the top of the textblock, all photos in fine condition, else fine with no internal markings. Dust jacket has a small dampstain at the very top of the spine which barely shows up on the front panel and a one-inch tear along the bottom of the rear panel with no loss. Stanley Richard Pocock (1923-2014) was a legendary figure in the world of rowing in the Pacific Northwest. Born and raised in Seattle, Stan had an early connection with rowing as both an oarsman at the University of Washington and as a boatbuilding apprentice with his father, George - a legendary pioneer in the world of building racing shells.
