Frederick Stare, M.D. was a professor of Nutrition at Harvard School of Public Health. Early proponent of eating a large variety of food for good nutrition and disease .resistance, of taking care to not overeat, and foe of food faddism. He believes all good food can be found at the corner grocery store, and kind of debunks "health food", and "organically grown" and opposition to flouridization of water, and believed that chemical fertilizers and pesticides, when used properly, were safe. This book, of course, is old knowledge from mid century, and more is now understood about food, nutrition, and safety of chemicals used for growing food. 239 pp.
