Neben botanischen Bestimmungen unternahm er eine Prüfung der Pflanzenbenennungen mithilfe von Wörterbüchern. Ein vom Verfasser angekündigter Dritter Band scheint nicht erschienen zu sein. / Bei Band 2 ist der Buchrücken minimal aufgehellt, sonst weisen die Bände nur leichte Gebrauchsspuren auf. Jeweils mit kurzer Bleistiftnotiz auf den ersten Seiten, Band 1 ansonsten textsauber, Band 2 mit vereinzelten Bleistiftanmerkungen. Dieses Exemplar stammt aus der Bibliothek von Walter W. For the present works, the Polish Ethiopianist and Semitist Stefan Strelcyn (1918-1981) collected descriptions, names and uses of native plants during his travels in Ethiopia from 1957 to 1958. In addition to botanical identification, he checked the plant names with the help of dictionaries. A third volume announced by the author does not seem to have been published. / The spine of volume 2 is slightly lightened, otherwise the volumes are in good condition. Each with a short pencil note on the first page, volume 1 otherwise text-clean, volume 2 with isolated pencil notes. This copy comes from the library of Walter W.
