In a first step there will be given a general definition on the term both genitive and determiner, with regards to the comparison of genitive case and determiner given in the topic of this paper. In this place, even clitic and affix definition is not left blank. Furthermore it is mentioned that during English language change from the Old English language to the Modern English language a change has taken place concerning the treatment of nominal phrases and determiner phrases within the DP-Analysis raised in the late 1980s. This will be pointed out in this paper as well. As well as the question whether a possessive construction can be treated as an inflectional form or even gets the status of a determiner there will be given a closer look to the history and use of the 's genitive and the his-genitive which usually applied in the second half of the 15th century. To get deeper into the discussion there will be a closer look to the position where the 's-construction do occur. Referring to cross linguistic reference the 's-genitive and other variations to point out a possessive relationship in Dutch language will be analysed more concrete. With reference to the DP-Hypothesis the change of the determiner status, i.e. the change of the 's-construction from the inflectional endings in Old English to clitic and in the end to determiner status are examined in this paper to give an overview how complex and investigated the 's-construction in English language is to this day.

The paper is divided into two parts whereas the first main part represents the development of that topic through literature. In a first step there will be given a general definition of what is meant by the term media and what we are talking about when referring to them. I concentrate on the medium literature which is mentioned in the topic of this paper. After the description of the beginning in the 1980s the development of AIDS Literature and its extension through literature basically concerning the 1990s will be outlined. The extension through 1980 - 1989 is disposed by the date of publication. The number of creative AIDS writings that highly increased from 1990s until today are arranged according to their literary category in which they appear. These include novels, both biographical and autobiographical style, poems and collections. The question why people write about AIDS will be discussed in the next step of the paper. With reference to feelings of HIV infected people reasons and effects will be analysed more concrete. Furthermore there will be some words on AIDS Literature and Extension today, even if the disease is not that present today as is was in the 1990. To close the circle and come back to the topic of the paper, I present a certain medium that gives AIDS a voice. The second part of this paper consists of an interview given by a HIV infected person called Horst-Johann Peters who also suffered from AIDS and lost his partner in 1995. On the one hand the interview expresses the motivation of being an AIDS activist and represents several feelings that lead to this commitment. On the other hand the interview can be found as a category in different media and is therefore a special part of literature. This paper focuses on literature to give an overview how complex creative AIDS writing in Literary History appears to this day. To be responsive to all other sorts of media mentioned in the table would therefore go beyond the scope.

Since a variety of linguists work on different interests concerning this science, there have been a lot of theories and models to describe specific approaches in human language. Since Chomsky and Halle's Sound Pattern of English (1968), there are a number of further developments according to linguistics. The theory of lexical phonology is one part of the study of linguistics which passes through several conceptions from the 1950s until today. Lexical phonology was developed in the early 1980s by K. P. Mohanan and P. Kiparsky and is the one most similar to classical generative phonology. In the theory of lexical phonology, the lexicon is given a key role and that represents a significant departure from classical models. In the following paper an outlook is given of what is meant by the term lexical phonology, and also a historical background to achieve a general overview. After having arranged the theory into linguistics and historical developments, there is a distinction between lexical and generative phonology. The relation between lexical phonology and morphology with its sharp distinction between lexical and postlexical rules, is presented afterwards. The interaction of phonology and morphology with the levels of representation will be explained to get to mechanisms of phonological changes and the output of phonology.For that reason, the information of the arrangement of affixes will be given. Different word formation processes such as vowel shift rule, vowel reduction, voicing or stress placement are mentioned to show the effect on what was elaborated before. The aim of this paper is to give a general overview of the theory of lexical phonology with its classical roots rather than to go into very specific details.

Um einen begrifflichen Referenzrahmen abzustecken, werden zunächst die Begrifflichkeiten Wahrheit und Fiktion unter Einbeziehung der Wortgeschichte untersucht und theoretische Untersuchungen betreffs des Fiktionsbegriffs näher beschrieben. Da bis heute keine einheitliche Theoriebildung Einzug in die Geisteswissenschaften gehalten hat, wird auf die von Hans Vaihinger 1911 veröffentlichte Theorie des Als-Ob zurückgegriffen und durch weiterführende Ansatzpunkte unter anderem von Wolfgang Iser und Uwe Japp ergänzt. Nachdem der theoretische Teil der Untersuchung näher definiert ist, wird das Augenmerk auf den textimmanenten Teil der Arbeit gerichtet. Grundlage ist der 1991 von Bret Easton Ellis veröffentliche Roman American Psycho, der nicht nur aufgrund seiner Beschreibung von Gewalt und Pornografie bis heute heftig diskutiert wird. Dennoch weist der Roman im derzeitigen Literaturbetrieb hohe Aktualität nicht nur im Rahmen der Debatte um die Postmoderne auf. Mittels Analyse des Romans im Hinblick auf die Begrifflichkeiten Wahrheit und Fiktion soll in einem weiteren Schritt aufgezeigt werden, mit welchen Elementen der Fiktion gearbeitet wird und welche Funktion Fiktionalität innerhalb der Literatur übernimmt. Die Frage nach der Erkenntnis der fiktionalen Literatur stellt hierbei leitende Funktion dar. In einem weiteren Denkansatz wird der Versuch unternommen, Grenzen der Literatur sichtbar zu machen. Dass Bret Easton Ellis Grenzen überschritten haben muss, zeigt nicht nur die Problematik der Veröffentlichung des Buches. Es sollen insbesondere eben die Grenzen aufgezeigt werden, die der Autor scheinbar zu überschreiten gewagt hat, seien sie methodologischer oder inhaltlicher Natur.
