Original green cloth, approximately 6 x 7 3/4 inches, 124 pp + 40 pp, illustrated with black and white photographs, drawings and maps, including a 2 page color map of New Jersey showing each county and the country seat. Hardcover, good, no dustjacket. Corners bumped, some soil on cloth, water (? ) stain affecting appr…oximately 3/4 of the rear board, contemporary Christmas label on front board. Internally, previous owner's signature (Kathleen Lynch) and doodles (in pencil) on endpapers, an approximately 2x3 inch piece torn off lower corner of contents page with partial loss of text, paper age yellowed, three or four dogears, a few numbers (in bllue pencil) along margins of NJ map, otherwise tight, clean, paper crisp, unmarked; probably never really read. Photos of NJ include the Delaware Watrer Gap, with an imaginary account of canoeing down the river, the Colgate Clock, oyster harvesting in Keyport, etc. School; children's; geography; textbook.
