Prima edizione
Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. First printing (stated). Pictorial boards. Fair only condition, but this is the real thing: The words "First Printing" appears on the copyright page. The major defect is that ***the cover's laminate coating has shredded off at the gutters, exposing the boards.*** The book is opening widely, but it's a sewn binding and all pages are securely attached. The hinges are good, with no tears to the endpapers. Spine is faded, with author and title barely readable. Cover wear to spine-ends and corner tips. Aside from a few small scratches and marks, the cover is reasonably clean, but with the words "CHESS CLUB" showing in shadow where that was once written in marker on the front cover above the chess-board. Endpapers and page-edges are sun-browned, with owner info in ink on front free endpaper, which is mildly creased and a little grubby near fore-edge, with some roughness (possibly from erasures) at the corner under the ink marks. Page-edges are reasonably clean. Two pages have some small stains, looks like from a paper cut!
