The booklet is in fine condition, the plates are in near fine condition with some light crimping to the upper corner in a near fine cardstock holder illustrated with an Aaron Siskind photograph. Portfolio very good (mild edgewear, bit of age toning), pamphlet and prints near fine. First edition of this interesting gathering of Illinois images, and a contributor's copy, coming from the library of noted Chicago photographer ARCHIE LIEBERMAN (1926-2008) of "Farm Boy" fame. A represented in this portfolio is a fine image from Aaron Siskind. Laid in is an Autograph Letter Signed from editor/photographer Sturr (who also has an image in this portfolio), 1p, 8½" X 11", n.p., 1964 November 11. Sends Lieberman "my apology for the long delay in sending you your copy of Directions '64. Things apparently went afoul since a portfolio should have been sent to you weeks ago.".
