The booklet is in fine condition, the plates are in near fine condition with some light crimping to the upper corner in a near fine cardstock holder illustrated with an Aaron Siskind photograph. Quite uncommon.

First edition of this interesting gathering of Illinois images, and a contributor's copy, comin…g from the library of noted Chicago photographer ARCHIE LIEBERMAN (1926-2008) of "Farm Boy" fame. A represented in this portfolio is a fine image from Aaron Siskind. Laid in is an Autograph Letter Signed from editor/photographer Sturr (who also has an image in this portfolio), 1p, 8½" X 11", n.p., 1964 November 11. Sends Lieberman "my apology for the long delay in sending you your copy of Directions '64. Things apparently went afoul since a portfolio should have been sent to you weeks ago.".
