The duty cycling mechanism enables the nodes to switch between active/sleep modes to minimize the energy consumption. The results demonstrate that the proposed VIDRDC scheme decreases the energy consumption and improves the network lifetime in comparison to the existing VGDRA scheme. 80 pp. Englisch.

If the sensed data is out of the specified range or interval , then node will send the complete data again. The proposed work reduces the number of bits to be transmitted over the network which decreases the energy consumption and hence increases network lifetime. 64 pp. Englisch.
