Four volumes in total. Both volumes have dates of different editions to front, the latter being 1899 and 1900 Royal Octavo (Limited Edition). There is no evidence that these are limited editions. With illustrated second titles to all volumes. "Ask Mamma" or the Richest Commoner in England is illustrated with thirteen hand-coloured engravings on steel and many woodcuts by John Leech. [counted, all present] Robert Smith Surtees (1805 - 1864) was an English editor, novelist and sporting writer. John Leech (1817 - 1864) was an English caricaturist and illustrator.
