Albert Londres, detailing his undercover investigation into the white slave trade (la traite des blanches) in Argentina. Published first in France 1927, by Albin Michel, the book was ".a controversial and powerful exposé that served as both a travelogue and a damning document on international crime, revealing the dark side of Buenos Aires and the global human trafficking network.".
