Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book is an extremely revealing account of a scandalous and vengeful dispute over the ownership of a miracle cureâ"the Vegetable Syrup of Velnosâ"between the author Isaac Swainson and a corrupt attorney named Moulfdale. As the feud escalated, accusations of fraud, deception, and theft were bandied about, leading to several attempts by Moulfdale and his allies to discredit Swainson and his product. But Swainson had an ace up his sleeve: countless testimonials from grateful patients who had been cured of various ailments, including venereal disease, scrofula, and palsy, by his syrup. The author meticulously details the cases of these individuals, providing compelling evidence of the syrup's efficacy and exposing the maliciousness of those who sought to destroy it. This book is a fascinating glimpse into the cutthroat world of 18th-century medicine, highlighting the importance of truth and integrity in the face of adversity. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item. …
