The prelims and some text pages are lightly foxed; a few fore edges have marks and the cut edges are slightly tanned. With black and white illustrations and colour frontispiece by Ernest Aris, Sylvia I. Venus, E. H. Davie and Gordon Robinson. Some of the illustrations have been coloured in. The pages are tight, flat; the cut edges are age-toned; the text pages are quite clean. Very good minus condition and overall condition is good plus due to condition of boards not matching the pages.
